A NEW ERA: AKIKI'S CIGARS NEW FLAGSHIP

Akiki Cigars Unveils Its Flagship Boutique & Lounge in Kaslik

A new chapter in Lebanese cigar heritage—rooted in legacy, shaped by design, and inspired by the art of being present.

Kaslik, Lebanon — November 2025

For decades, Akiki Cigars has been a cornerstone of Lebanon’s cigar culture — a family-run legacy built on craftsmanship, loyalty, and tradition. Today, that legacy enters a new era as the brand officially opens its flagship boutique and lounge in Kaslik: a visionary destination where heritage meets modernity, and the ritual of the cigar becomes an immersive cultural experience.

More than a store. More than a lounge.
It is a philosophy embodied in space — a celebration of Lebanese craft, of family values, and of the timeless art of savoring.

A Legacy Evolving, Not Changing

Founded by brothers Tony, Emile, and Joseph Akiki, Akiki Cigars began as a passion passed from one generation to the next. Now Ramy, Sara, and Joe bring a renewed vision — one that honors their roots while embracing contemporary culture, design, and lifestyle.

“This is a chapter we always saw coming and envisioned,” the second generation shares.
“It had to be cooked well — and now we are ready for it.”

For them, this opening is personal — the natural evolution of a family business built with heart, respect, and perseverance.

Ramy reflects:

“We have lived as a family ever since we were born.
You can see the values we grew up with — unity, honesty, generosity — in our business ethic, our vision, and the way we treat our customers.”

Sara adds:

“We wanted to modernize the idea of a cigar store and lounge while keeping the essence of our heritage.
That meant brutalist architecture balanced with Lebanese arches built using the same traditional techniques our craftsmen used generations ago.”

A Space That Invites Discovery

Moving through the flagship is like traveling through chapters of a story — each room distinct, yet part of one narrative.

Raw concrete and sculptural forms.
Warm arches and textures familiar to Lebanese craftsmanship.
Rooms that feel like galleries, ateliers, and lounges — all interconnected.

Sara explains:

“We want guests to ask themselves:
Am I in a store? In a gallery? In a lounge? What is happening?
And then realize — it all makes perfect sense.”

Familiar materials echo the products themselves: earth, wood, metal, glass, stone.

Joe adds:

“We worked deeply on our team and service ritual.
The experience feels effortless — but every detail is studied to make our guests feel seen, understood, and at home.”

The Lounge: Where Time Slows

At the heart of the flagship is AKI the Lounge — a sanctuary for connoisseurs and curious newcomers alike. Designed around connection and ritual, it invites guests to pause, reflect, and truly be present.

A cigar. A whiskey. A conversation that lingers.

“Here, luxury is presence,” Ramy says.
“It’s the freedom to savor, connect, and simply exist without rush.”

The Philosophy of “Here”

The name itself carries meaning.
Aki / Aqui — “here.”

A reminder to come back to the moment, to appreciate life’s quiet rituals, to slow down.

Akiki's Cigars is built around three core pillars:

Artisanal — honoring makers, craft, and process

Knowledge — creating culture through education and exchange

Indulgence — celebrating slowness and sensory pleasure

With the flagship opening, Akiki Cigars invites Lebanon — and the world — into a new era of refined, soulful indulgence.

A New Ritual Begins

The Kaslik flagship is not a destination — it is a rhythm, a feeling, a philosophy carved in concrete and breathed into life by a family and their community.

A place to slow down. To savor. To be here.

The doors are now open. And this is only the beginning.
