On July 22, AKI The Lounge invites guests to an evening where exceptional whisky and contemporary art come together in an experience unlike any other.
Hosted by Nasry Haddad, the Middle East's first independent whisky bottler, alongside acclaimed Lebanese contemporary artist Charles Khoury, Cask & Canvas is an exclusive tasting seminar that celebrates craftsmanship, storytelling, and creativity in two remarkable forms.
With nearly three decades of experience in branding, marketing, and whisky education, Nasry Haddad has built a reputation for his expertise in single cask whiskies and his engaging approach to whisky appreciation. Through immersive masterclasses, he offers enthusiasts a deeper understanding of the stories, heritage, and character behind every bottle.
Joining him is Charles Khoury, one of Lebanon's most celebrated contemporary artists. A graduate of ALBA and a member of the UNESCO International Association of Fine Arts, Khoury's bold, expressive works have been exhibited across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Recognized for his vibrant colours, symbolic figures, and explorations of humanity, memory, and coexistence, Khoury has established a distinctive artistic language that resonates with audiences worldwide.
A Journey Through Five Exceptional Single Cask Whiskies:
Guests will embark on a guided tasting of five exceptional single cask whiskies, each carefully selected from Scotland's renowned distilleries. Every whisky will be paired with a complimentary bite, creating a thoughtfully curated tasting experience that highlights the complexity and individuality of each expression.
Throughout the evening, Haddad will share the stories behind the casks, offering insights into what makes single cask whisky one of the most sought-after categories among collectors and enthusiasts alike.
When Whisky Becomes a Canvas:
For one night only, AKI The Lounge will transform into an intimate gallery showcasing the unique collaboration between Charles Khoury and The Single Cask.
Born from a shared passion for art and whisky, the collaboration features a limited collection of just 31 one-of-a-kind single cask bottles. Each bottle is wrapped in an original Charles Khoury canvas that serves as its removable label, allowing the artwork to be framed and enjoyed as an independent piece long after the whisky has been savoured.
The result is a rare fusion of collectible art and exceptional whisky, where every bottle tells a story both inside and out.
