La Flor Dominicana Chapter I is the first cigar blended by Litto Gomez's son, Antonio Gomez. The blend uses a Brazilian wrapper chosen for its very dark, rich flavor, a Connecticut binder that adds strength and chocolate notes, and filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic. Chapter One is a box pressed "Chisel" shape with a very attractive, dark wrapper. The flavors are peppery, earthy and rich. La Flor Dominicana recommends pinching the Chisel head instead of cutting it.
