The Solera Reserve, like the others in the range, is made up of whiskies matured in ex-Sherry casks, American oak casks and traditional oak casks. This is what they mean by 'triple cask matured'. For the Solera Reserve a high proportion of first fill American oak is used and all the whiskies are brought together in a marrying vat that is never emptied, becoming more complex each year.
