A Story of Passion: From Dream to Terroir.
An intimate evening with SEPT Winery at AKI.
Some wines are crafted through technique. Others through intuition, memory, and obsession.
On Wednesday, May 27, Akiki's Cigars welcomes SEPT Winery for an intimate evening centered around terroir, storytelling, and the daring vision behind one of Lebanon’s most distinctive wineries.
Born from the dream of a young boy and shaped through passion rather than convention, SEPT has become known for its disruptive approach to Lebanese winemaking — natural wines, no oak, aging sur lies, and a philosophy deeply rooted in the purity of the land itself. Fresh yet profound, rebellious yet deeply respectful of heritage, SEPT stands at the intersection of tradition and avant-garde expression.
More than a winemaker, the founder of SEPT is the farmer, the visionary, the creator behind every bottle, and the chef at Table Sept. It is this intimacy, this human connection between land, wine, and maker, that gives SEPT its unmistakable identity.
Throughout the evening, guests will journey through indigenous Lebanese varieties including Obeideh, Merweh, and Zitani, alongside the winery’s rare expressions of Syrah de Nehla and Cabernet Sauvignon de Nehla — wines seldom unveiled and shared only on occasion.
Each wine will be accompanied by terroir-driven pairings crafted by AKI The Lounge, designed to echo the language, texture, and essence of SEPT itself.
The evening will conclude with a private live auction of selected bottles.
A night of discovery, connection, and shared passion.
A moment where soil, story, and soul meet at the table.

Maher Harb
Founder, winemaker, and chef behind SEPT Winery and table Sept, Maher Harb’s journey began far from the world of wine. A mathematics graduate and former consultant, he left behind a conventional path to return to a forgotten piece of inherited land once considered too wild and impossible to cultivate. What began as the dream of a little boy slowly became a lifelong calling — one rooted in intuition, earth, and purpose.
After returning from France to revive his family’s abandoned land in Nehla, Maher planted SEPT’s first biodynamic vineyard by hand, guided more by instinct and connection to the land than convention. Today, he is recognized for his deeply personal and experimental approach to both wine and food, crafting natural, terroir-driven wines alongside a seasonal vineyard-to-table experience where storytelling, produce, and place become inseparable.
